OpenLivingLab Days 2018 will take place in Geneva, Switzerland between Wednesday 22 August and Friday 24 August. The event will be hosted by Genève Lab, Energy Living Lab & Mobile Communications and Computing for Quality of Life (mQoL) / CUI – ISS.
The annual event includes interactive sessions, workshops, lively discussion panels with excursions and off-site visits with the aim of giving the participants a wider insight about models, theories and technologies related to Living Labs. Participants have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from the leading experts on the subject and to network with other Living Lab enthusiasts.
One of the workshops will address the connections of Living Labs And Regional Development.
Living Labs can play an important role in local and regional development. They are mentioned in many regional Smart Specialisation Strategies and can help to promote inclusive innovation across different policy priorities, such as the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop aims to explore what this means in practice, starting from a Mediterranean perspective. Creative Wear will be presented as one of six examples of Living Labs working concretely on the ground at the regional level – in particular, through participation in one of the many ERDF INTERREG Programmes in different areas of Europe– to share experiences, understand impact paths, and explore opportunities for new forms of collaboration within the ENoLL network.
