In conjunction with the Circular Economy Festival (Recò) the Final Workshop Creativewear brought together designers, artists and T&C companies
On March 21st at Prato Textile Museum premises, it took place the Creativewear Project Final Workshop as an opportunity to present and explain to stakeholders and general public the original and innovative synergies that the creative hubs have promoted within the Project Network activity.
Network which has been constantly integrated bringing the former group of the five partner territories to a group of 12 members.
Conceived simultaneously the first edition of Festival of Circular Economy (Recò) organized by the Tuscany Region in collaboration with the Municipality of Prato (www.recofestival.it), Creativewear Final Workshop has been enriched by an interesting exhibition presenting the results of the collaborations between different hubs over the last ten months. Textile contemporary works of art, clothes, accessories and high-tech prototypes realized by creatives, fashion designers and artists in synergy with museums, schools, academies, research centers and T&C companies, providing innovative readings for contemporary production as well as for the European textile heritage
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the workshop focused mainly on insights dedicated to specific themes such as the relationship between textile technology and creativity, the potential of contemporary textile art to create connections with T&C companies, the value of heritage for the inspiration that leads to future collections and important topics promoted by the Circular Economy Festival as the sustainability and awareness on green economy. The interesting discussion took place in the form of an open debate with the participation of the artists and creatives directly involved in the collaborations.
